Sheryl Powell (Salyers):  

After graduating in 1987 I spent the summer with my best friend, Cindy Vasquez. Had a fantastic time with her. We had so much fun together that summer. At the end of summer I decided to go to Georgia to be with my family. I bought a new Toyota Cellica, worked in retail and started dating a wonderful guy Dennis Henry. He was very involved in church and I knew I was missing that most important relationship with my Lord and Savior and he gladly led me to Christ and for the first time in my life. I was so happy. All of the right things had fallen in place for me. I even joined the chior and served as President for youth. junior youth association. Unfortuneatly my happiness was short lived when Dennis's life had ended the following January. He'd been in a freak accident and his family and I grieved for so long. As time went on I knew I had to move forward and eventually met Scott Howe. He was my first husband. We had 13 happy years together and two beautiful boys, Troy and Trevor. Being a mother is the most rewarding role I get to play in my childrens lives. We raised them in church and made sure they had the guidance of God and prayed for each and everyday with them. Unfortuneatly the marriage eventually disolved. I took Troy and Trevor and the 3 of us started a new life in Atlanta. We lived with my best friend Theresa McClellan.
